We have officially served over 250,000 meals at Taste Community Restaurant! This milestone is particularly unique because we operate without prices on our menu. Instead, everyone dines together. An executive out for a business lunch dines alongside a single parent with her kids who is struggling to make ends meet. Neither knows the other’s circumstances, yet all enjoy a healthy, nutritious meal.
Taste Community Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and brunch six days per week. Since COVID-19, the need for the services we provide has increased substantially. In 2024, 78% of guests at Taste Community Restaurant received a free or subsidized meal—a 35% increase, resulting in the largest funding gap the organization has faced.
Now, more than ever, Taste Project is reliant on community support to help feed, educate, and serve our community. As we launch into 2025, here’s how you can continue to support our community through Taste Project as we work to serve the next 250,000 meals!
DINE
Resolve to dine out with us this year! Texas A&M researchers found our guests consume more vegetables, more fruit, less sugar and sodium, and less refined grains when they dine at Taste Community Restaurant. Pledge to dine at Taste Community Restaurant at least once per month and help improve your health and the health of those we serve.
We are looking for 250 people who can pledge to dine with us once per month and pay what you would typically pay or a little extra to help a neighbor in need.
DO
Resolve to volunteer with us this year! Volunteering has been shown to improve your mental and physical health. Pledge to volunteer at Taste Community Restaurant at least once per month and help improve our health while also serving those in need.
We are looking for 250 people who can pledge to volunteer at least once per month to help us meet the needs of our community with love and dignity.

Resolve to invest in us this year! Pledge to donate monthly to feed, educate, and serve our community and help provide more fruits and vegetables, advance low-income adults to a living wage quickly, and build a community where people feel like they belong.
We are looking for 250 people who can pledge monthly financial support to help purchase food and pay our staff and apprentices a living wage.
